My granddaughters are both angry - rebelling at anything and everything. Life is just too much for them to handle. I wish they were a bit more like your son, smiling at everything that comes along. **le sigh** The oldest has been diagnosed with ADHD but has the same problem with organizing herself as you describe. I've suggested giving her a list for cleaning her room to save the arguments with her mother, it sure worked when she started 2nd grade and wanted to get herself ready in the morning.
The school pushed for my youngest granddaughter to be mainstreamed into 1st grade this year with no help to speak of, and in her case the anger helped to demonstrate to the teachers, the counselors, and the principle just what a struggle it is for her. Which means we had a meeting last week to update her IEP and she will be getting a LOT more help. Funny how throwing her shoe at the teacher and hitting her opened their eyes, but mostly having the principle try to explain to her what she had done wrong made the principle realize how little she understood and how difficult it is for her to self-regulate.

Aint that the truth! I'm glad she is going to be getting more help in school now!

Jesse is a very good looking boy and I know you have always tried your best to help him. You're right, life does become one big to do list. It's very tiring. My prayers are with you and your son Jesse. I always loved that name, sounds like a cowboy.
