Summary Statement:

World Renowned Experts to Address Treatment of Autism

Rates of autism are soaring, with some estimates as high as one in 150 children. The heartbreaking condition, characterized by lack of emotional contact, delayed motor skills and difficulty with verbal expression, presents a bewildering dilemma for parents and physicians.

Successful nutritional solutions for the treatment of autism will be presented at Wise Traditions 2007, the eighth annual conference of the Weston A. Price Foundation, November 10-13 at the Westfields Marriott Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia (near Dulles Airport).

Key speakers include British physician Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD and Mary Megson, MD of Richmond, Virginia. Both practitioners have achieved remarkable success in reversing the symptoms of autism using nutritional protocols that stress fat-soluble vitamins and digestive support.

In addition, John Hicks, MD, FAAP, will present his findings on the pitfalls of chelation therapy for autistic children while best-selling author Donna Gates will detail successful probiotic strategies aimed at improving digestive health in the autistic child.

Other speakers will discuss the autism-vaccination connection, testing for nutritional deficiencies, strategies for digestive health, principles of healthy traditional diets and practical cooking and dietary plans.

The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit nutrition education organization based in Washington, DC, with over 400 chapters in the U.S. and overseas. The Foundation supports accurate nutrition information, principles of traditional diets, pasture-based farming, community supported agriculture and holistic therapies.
