Library Item Name:

Treating autism with a family approach

Summary Statement:

For the Zealands, both LU graduates, it was Intensive Multi-Treatment Intervention (IMTI) that captured their attention.

She’s a registered nurse, and he recently completed his doctoral work in protected area management and outdoor recreation management.

“We felt like IMTI has been a good fit for us,” said Clark, who adds that he realizes that “A lot of families don’t do this, and are seeing success with their kids.”

Coleman began the program while they lived in Canada. In 2007 the Zealands returned to Central Virginia, and have overcome distance to IMTI by using videos of Coleman uploaded to YouTube followed by telephone conferences with video through Skype.
