frogfoot1969's Bio

Hi my name is Sonya. I have a wonderful husband who works his butt off so I can stay home with the kids Bryan 15, nt and Seoc 4, special needs. Seoc (pronounced Shock, it is Gaelic for Jack, it means God is Gracious) has numerous diagnosis but Autism is the one we struggle with daily. He has the biggest smile and best laugh I have ever heard.  He is high functioning and has hyperlexia. He keeps life very interesting to say the least.

We were in the kiddie pool and I tried to get Seoc to notice a little girl his age, no interest what so ever but when a baby came to join the pool party he said "Baby, baby boy" and went up and looked at his little hands and very gently touched and said "Babies little hands". He loves adults, teenagers and apparently quiet happy babies but children appear to be completely invisible to him. My husband says he sizes them up and determines children have nothing to offer him, lol. What do you guys think??

My daughter first only took to adults and only women and would run from men. She would run from my daughter's friends as well but not so much a female. Then during therapies I realized she was very fond of babies and would walk right up etc.. it took time for her to be ok with the adult male and now its just the opposite. She loves my daughter's friends now and as soon as she sees a kid her age now she runs ups. To me its like phases. oh and yes, just cause they don't communicate very well, you would be surprised as to what they know when it finally comes out. They don't seem to learn like others, its like one day something just clicks in and they do something that they have never done before like they have done it all the time.

You know Liv just before her regression was always attentive to adults & to a much lesser degree kids her own age. Babies she would just watch. So, really I don't know.

Maybe children are overstimulating? They can be really loud...

Plus he knew it was a boy, how I don't know. The baby was wearing a white hat and swim pants.
