Hello Foggyrock users this is my Bio. My name is Theresa, I am happily married for going on 20 years this July. I am a mother to two wonderful children. My daughter is 17 and enjoys softball and basketball with a goal of becoming an RN. My son is 8 and enjoys Vacuum Cleaners, and Trash Trucks. My son is what brings me here. He has been diagnosed as having Autism. because of my son I have learned a great deal about myself such as drinking in the living room really isn't going to hurt anything, and that it feels nice to pet the dogs. He has made me aware of little things that I at 40 years of age take for granted, because of my son I also got my High School GED in 2004 Yeah Me, and have become involved in numerous groups that deal with disability awareness. I am the Core Family Member for a group in our area called Sooner Success, I am also a creator and leader for a parent support group called Supporting The Pieces it is for parents and caregivers of children who have been diagnosed as having Autism, Adhd, Rhetts, Sensory Integration, PDD or anything that falls in the Autism Spectrum. I am a certified parent to parent mentor and also active in 4RKids which is a group that helps promote awareness, and is working on providing vocational needs to children who are entering adult life. I am active in our local Lions Club and help with community projects. In my down time I enjoy Ebay and Myspace I like to have cookouts and spend time with my friends and family. My husband likes to four wheel in his truck and I enjoy watching and supporting him while he attempts to successfully make it thru the mudd pit.
